What a weekend

It has been an eventful weekend, and not all hunky dory all the time, but it's been an ok one nonetheless.

My weekend began on Friday. It finally came time for my seated massage that I have been waiting for, for a couple of weeks now. It was a comedy of errors. How hard can a "seated massage" be? We-ell, let's just say that it took about 5 minutes to get me ON the chair. When you can barely stand on TWO legs, LOL, trying to stand on one and lift a leg whose hip does not do what it should any more, makes for some fun times. Worse, although I can laugh at myself,  and see the funny side, when it's happening and I get a fit of the giggles, I lose the little oomph that I had. I just go weak all over.

My masseuse was awesome, she is originally from Trinidad, and we had an absolutely brilliant conversation while she ironed out my back muscles.

Hubby's experience wasn't so good, they had scheduling issues and he sat waiting to be taken back for almost an hour. I have to call tomorrow to reschedule, as he never ended up getting his. He was extremely stressed out when I came back out of the room.

We tried to soothe his frazzled mood with rib plates from Little Pigs Barbecue in Mauldin.

Yesterday, hubby worked overtime in the morning and then came home, took recycleables and trash to the dump, and then we went out and delivered an AVON order to a customer, hubby restocked the AVON brochures in our local Ingles store and we dropped brochures off on another customer.

It rained on and off. The rain wasn't particularly heavy around us, but its "being in the air" has wreaked havoc on my arthritis and hubby's. His hips and knees have made walking painful, my hips were more painful than usual but also my INDEX FINGERS! They hurt like I have banged them into something, a constant throbbing ache and then intermittently like a zap of pins and needles that isn't.

Today is another "wants to rain" day so we have both suffered again. Even my oils and other home remedies cannot fight the pain 100%.

Hubby went and had breakfast this morning at IHOP (since his English wife does not cook American breakfasts, LOL). That's his weekend treat.

He grabbed groceries on his way home ... and came in to find me complaining that my computer wold not start up. He tried. Nothing. Tried again ... nope. So, after hanging around for a little while, off he went to Best Buy and got me the one I'm using now.

He's a great hubby! I rely on my computer so much! For my business, my family history research, my communicating and keeping in touch with family. I am so thankful that I have him. He helps me every day, doing stuff I can no longer do.

Enjoy your Sunday evening, my friends :)
