Spring Plantings
Spring definitely has hubby and I inspired, outside.
He is clearing off our front porch so that we can get it pressure washed and then set it out as a cozy space with our outdoor rattan furniture that has been stored unused for the past 5 or 6 years.
We hosed off the pvc stand that I had plants on a couple of years ago (last year somehow got missed as far as growing "stuff") and then set it back up. For now, it's solitary occupier is a triple planter with the lavender seeds in, that I planted the other day.
Today, one of my new planters became the home of 4 new strawberry plants, and they transplanted so well, didn't lose their perkiness at all.
He also cut down a lot of the holly bushes that we are clearing so that we can put white gravel behind a low stone wall, under the windows at the front of the house. We then plan on some planters sitting on the gravel.
Tomorrow's first job will be a trip to the dump to drop off the holly branches ... so that he can stack some more in the truck bed for a second trip.
It was a nice couple of hours work, and the weather was gorgeous.
