That Napoleon complex!

Those who know me well, know I am not a huge spider fan.

I do not wish them harm, but they give me the heebie jeebies, and I don't want them near me. So, last night, I sat up with a jolt and a squeal as a little hairy black octoped crawled away from me, barely a foot from my leg. Hubby, my knight in shining armour, came to rescue us both - to remove the offender from my proximity and to take it safely outside and let it wander off into the night.

It was a jumping spider, maybe about an inch across. Hubby went to cup his hands around it to carry it out and that little monster reared it's front legs up in battle stance, waving them about. So small yet ready to take on the world. Hubby got some cardboard and let it crawl on that, and took it outside.

We couldn't stop laughing. Hubby was talking to it, telling it how silly it was, that he could smoosh it so easily and was trying to take it to safety.
